Our Mentor
A mentor is someone who becomes an inspiration, a role model- someone whose life we can learn from.
Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan is our school’s mentor. Here at Dr. S. Radhakrishnan International School, we find that his philosophy of life and education is closely tied with the Gurukul philosophy of “Be Natural Through Social For Spiritual”.
"Students are the future of the nation. Their foundation should be strong; students should realize the worth of mankind. Merely taking a degree is not of much importance but to turn out as a true human being matters more, thus each student should portray a true picture of humanity."
Dr. Radhakrishnan was of the opinion that only the right kind of education could solve many ills of the society and the country. He wanted to bring in a change in the educational system by improving the quality of education and building up a strong relationship between the teacher and the taught. In his opinion, teachers should be the best minds of the country; they should not merely instruct but should gain the true affection of pupils, and the respect for teachers cannot be ordered but it should be earned.
In honour of this great personality and educationist our school celebrates Mentor’s Day on 4th of September and Teacher’s Day on 5th September every year.
